Loved loved loved this spot! We hit up the market and then spotted Benne’s for a quick breakfast and it hit the spot. Grabbed a few savory danishes and a round of morning cocktails — wish I could’ve house one of their desserts! The coconut cream cake looked amazing and they SHIP it too! Might have to order some. Ambiance was amazing. Service was great. Pastries were fabulous.
Lovely cafe on a lively street, with indoor seating and a serene courtyard with a water fountain. We visited for the ultimate coconut cake, and it was amazing! There were many tasty options on the menu, so that means we will need to visit again to try a few more things! The staff was nice and welcoming. They had a variety of alcohol and non alcohol drinks. We opted for the non alcohol hibiscus drink. It was refreshing!
Popped in for a martini and some late night food after a ghost walk. Everything was exquisite including the cheesecake, toasted BLT, cappuccino and my La Provence martini. Would definitely recommend and will drop in next time we’re in Charleston.
We were just walking around Charleston and happened to walk by Benne’s, we saw the desserts in the window and decided to stop. It was probably one of the best decisions we’ve made. We had a chocolate chip cookie, peach trifle and NY cheesecake and would recommend them all. The staff is great, the food is great, and the atmosphere is great. You can sit inside the restaurant, or go to the outside garden, you can’t lose either way. Would definitely go back and can’t say enough great things about Benne’s!
We got the chocolate temptation. It was delicious and moist, not too sweet. The latte wasn't my favorite, it had a slight burnt flavor but I might be picky with my espresso roasts. The atmosphere was wonderful. We stopped by in the evening, the guitarist was exceptional! Loved the feel. Servers were attentive and nice.
The atmosphere here is so cozy! We stopped by for some coffee and coconut cake. Delicious!! Such a treat!
Yum yum yum, delicious morning pasties and nice strong coffee just as I like it. The pastries were so flaky and perfect, you have to try the cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting ( out of this world).
Oh Benne’s. We’ve been back from our girl’s trip for a month now and my sister and I still dream about your coconut cake and your delectable beverages. This will for sure be a place we return to every trip. Very laid back atmosphere for drinks and desserts. We had the espresso martini and the coconut martini (or several of them) and every drink was as good as the first. And the cake... words can’t express how delicious it was.
